DD True HD Support and question about subtitles
#1
Will Dolby Digital True HD audio be supported on Xbox Media Center for OSX?

And about subtitles, is it possible to place the subtitles on top of the video?
I intend to use XBMC on a projector with HD content, to make a home theater and the subtitles on a projection need to be on top of the video because the black stripes where they are placed will be projected on a black frame on the wall or projection screen.

And another doubt, is it possible to add some kind of script to XBMC that plays a video automaticaly before the video whe have chosen to play? or that detects the audio stream in the video that whe have chosen and opens a specific video depending on that?

To quote Gameseter17 in this thread (http://forum.xbmc.org/showthread.php?tid=31893)

Quote:FYI; XBMC for Mac OS X (same as XBMC for Linux) do not use MPlayer, it uses Team-XBMC's own in-house developed video-player (DVDPlayer) which is based on FFmpeg, ...so if and when FFmpeg supports DVR-MS, then XBMC for Mac OS X will (soon) support DVR-MS as well.

Yes you have to wait until FFmpeg supports it, ...the FFmpeg developers are working on it (as it was part of FFmpeg's last years SoC project):

Quote: In order to use the standard SVN client to check out the source code:

svn checkout svn://svn.mplayerhq.hu/soc/eac3 eac3

Alternatively, you can use the FFmpeg ViewVC interface to browse the source tree online.
http://svn.mplayerhq.hu/soc/eac3/
Then patch that onto the FFmpeg SVN, see here how to get that:

PS! Now please stop making codec requests in this forum!, see:

XBMC for Mac OS X does not yet support python scripts but once it does then yes that is possible (there is already a python script that does it which works on XBMC for Xbox and XBMC for Linux)
