I haven't seen any confirmation of MCE remote support as of yet, use the apple remote or read up on the thread about using a generic dvd remote with a keyspan IR receiver.

There is currently no generic infrared-remote support library implemented in XBMC for Mac OS X (like how the LIRC library is implemented into XBMC for Linux).

So to get any other infrared remote to work with XBMC for Mac you have to either implement LIRC into XBMC for Mac OS X yourself, or code an Event Client for XBMC's new Event Server API., both will require some programming skills. See:
http://wiki.xbmc.org/?title=XBMC_for_Mac...rt_project

Always read the XBMC online-manual, FAQ and search the forum before posting.
Do not e-mail XBMC-Team members directly asking for support. Read/follow the forum rules.
For troubleshooting and bug reporting please make sure you read this first.

Remote Buddy (commerical app) can use the MCE remote USB thing (with an Apple Remote) but not the actual remote itself as it uses some strange remote encoding according the the RB author.

Currently its not possible to use the MCE remote itself on the Mac unless anyone else knows different?

Some strange remote encoding? Works PnP with Lirc - sets up in like 5mins. It cannot be too strange and the code for Lirc is open sourced... <shrug>

Openelec Gotham, MCE remote(s), Intel i3 NUC, DVDs fed from unRAID cataloged by DVD Profiler. HD-DVD encoded with Handbrake to x.264. Yamaha receiver(s)
