My file info:
Video: HVC1 3840x1600 23.976fps [V: hevc main 10, yuv420p10le, 3840x1600 [default]]
Audio: TrueHD 48000Hz 8ch 9216kbps [A: Dolby TrueHD Atmos [eng] (truehd, 48000 Hz, 7.1, s24) [default]]
Audio: Dolby AC3 48000Hz 6ch 640kbps [A: Dolby Digital 5.1 [eng] (ac3, 48000 Hz, 5.1, 640 kb/s)]

I can play other x264 files without any problems but this one is so dark i can't see 75% of the scenes. Especialy if they are dark. On my PC everything looks good. But on the android box it's just unwatchable.

The title is wrong. Post your Debug Log
First decide what functions / features you expect from a system. Then decide for the hardware. Don't waste your money on crap.

x265 encoded files, even at 1080p can be quite processor intensive, never-mind 4K. You failed to mention which Android device you have unless you actually mean an TV that runs Android? If that's the case then it may not be up to the task.

Produce a Debug log (wiki) and post it to pastebin.com or similar and provide a link to it here. This may shed some light on your device specs.
Always read the Wiki, FAQ and search the forum before posting.

I just downloaded the same movie but 1080p x264 and it was fine.
It's not about the performance, it's about broken contrast.

10bits HEVC might be too much for your box, especially at 4K.
I think all righthtinking people in this country are sick and tired of being told that ordinary, decent people are fed up in this country with being sick and tired.

I'm Not even going to try and fix your demanding Android Kodi problems - especially what looks like HDR use.
You box's Firmware simply will not be up to the task. 1080p / 4K mixed mode Android Kodi will not work properly either.

Anyone with AML S9xx box that wants everything in Kodi to work properly needs to do some DIY and:

Install LibreELEC Kodi to a microSDHC card (click) - preferably a fast-ish Samsung EVO(+), Sandisk or Lexar 300x Class 10 U1 card.

Using Android is not going to fix your problems. Use the Dual boot LibreELEC Kodi setup.

KODI doesn't play 4K h.265 without stuttering. Other players like Potplayer do. So it is not a hardware issue. KODI does play 4K h.264 fine. Perhaps at some point KODI will be able to handle h.265.

kikito1,

This is your 2nd post where you are trash-talking about Kodi not being able to play/handle h.265 videos. Kodi can play h.265/hevc videos just fine for more than 2 years already. So I suggest you simply stop with your Potplayer saga on our forum, unless you can present irrefutable evidence to your claim. If not, you can look forward to a infinite holiday from our forum very soon.
