If there is any script out there with excellent documentation, it's Skin Shortcuts: https://github.com/BigNoid/script.skinsh...urces/docs

It would be much easier for people to help you if you posted what you have tried so far. Please use a service like pastebin.com to post the code.

Ok yeah i used that but the section where it says "displaying the menus" it doesnt say which xml file to put this content code in

Code:
<control type="list" id="9000">
    <include>mainmenu-position-and-appearance</include>
    <content><include>skinshortcuts-mainmenu</include></content>
</control>
I messed around on sticking it in random places but im totally lost here

You want to put it where you want it to. This could be your Home.xml but it could also be an include file that is called from your home.xml. Randomly sticking that piece of code in places in itself is not going to do anything. How does your build line look for Skin Shortcuts? and where have you placed it? Just paste the entire xml, 4 lines of code is not showing anything.

@popeye2468 , I don't know if you are still interested in this.  I am the skinner working on Amber for Leia, and my next big update will be skinshortcuts integration.  I don't have an exact ETA, but it looks like two or three weeks.  Check this thread: https://forum.kodi.tv/showthread.php?tid=342130 for updates.
