When I said I updated Kodi to support the iPhoneX screen i meant that we are now able to use all pixels of the display. That’s what my job is as a platform maintainer of iOS.
What you describe is a usability issue. You simply realized that the skin you use does not take the new mobile phone arrangements (round corners, notch) into account.

So this is something for our skinners and not that much platform related anymore.

I suppose that if Kodi has the interest to continue on the iOS platform (which they seem to) at all that they will eventually update Estouchy to conform.
