Possible to play Kodi on two tv's at different resolutions simultaneously?
#1
Hi,
My current Kodi setup has my pc connected to two 1080p hdtvs (one upstairs one downstairs, win7 via duplicate these displays).  One tv is connected via hdmi for both a/v, the other via dvi/speaker cable for a/v.

I'm thinking of upgrading my upstairs tv to 4k, would I have to upgrade my downstairs tv as well or is it possible to run Kodi at 4k to one tv and at 1080p to another tv at the same time?

Kodi currently only has support for cloned screens, as in two screens with identical resolutions.

It would be possible to run something like XBMC and Kodi using windows extended screens, but I doubt the graphic engine would be able to handle 4K and 1080p, but certainly something to experiment with, let us know how it goes Smile I handle both on a 1920x1080 HDMI and 1920x1200 DVI, so I know that works... but the graphic engine chugs.

I have seen one guy on the forum operating 4 or 5 TVs off one Linux machine.
