I am a bit of a newcomer to SAT>IP and am still getting everything fully up and running - at the moment I am just using the latest version of the stock firmware.
Nearly everything I have read on the R1, seems to refer to users much preferring the satip-axe firmware instead.
I would be really grateful to know what the benefits are - the website for it is is a bit difficult to understand.
