I installed the new update this evening and now ServerWMC returns an error "Object reference not set to an instance of an object. Unrecoverable Error - ServerWMC will terminate!"

Please post the serverwmc log on pastebin.com and put a link to it here.  You can find the log here:

I don't see an error in the log, but it does look it was exited immediately.  Have you tried re-installing?

Yes, reinstalled both the stable + preview versions and continuing to get this error message

All I can think is to try a clean install by deleting (or better yet, just rename so you keep your settings) this directory

%programdata%\VDSoftware\ServerWMC

Then install again.  If it fails, try one more time to post the log.

I'm don't know why there isn't an error message in the log.  I think the problem is that serverwmc is not finding all of the wmc dlls it needs to run.  It needs the wmc dlls: mcepg, ehRecObj and mcstore.  Is wmc working on this computer?

Aha! The Windows 1803 broke WMC itself (which I rarely ever use). Reinstalled and now everything works normally.

Sorry for the runaround and thanks for your help!
