I have a few questions on sharing libraries using UPnp.
1) Is it sharing the files only or the metadata also? In looking in the Wiki topics it seems to use the terms "source" and "library" (source to me means no metadata, library means metadata). In other words, will the client need to scan all the files and download its own metadata for the shared library?
2) If it is only sharing files, how much overhead is there in using UPnP? Meaning, would it just be more efficient to use a network share rather than UPnp?
Based on a quick test, I believe it is only sharing files and the library.
