Hi I'm having huge problems with XBMC always crashing when trying to play large files that's packed in rar archives. When I unpacked everything is ok. So whats the problem? These archives containds a single file that is 1,36GB in size, and I just know that I have played packed DVD's before so why is it having problems with these files? The problems occure on P2P ripps like
21 R5 LINE XVID - STG Street Kings DVDSCR or WP XVID - STG The Forbidden Kingdom R5 XVID - STG Another question is, why is SMB charing so hard to convert? and also to start games and programs out of XBMC, I mean it just have to lunch somethins and then stay in the background. Regards |

When trying to play HD .mkv files XBMC freezes after about 5 seconds does anybody have a fix for this. When looking in the log I see memory leaks. Here is part of the log when trying to play a .mkv and saying there has been memory leaks:

The memory leaks of the libraries a "normal" and just let us keeping track of 3rd party libs. From the logfile it looks like that XBMC is stopping on request Code: 22:12:24 T:5132 M:2147483647 DEBUG: CApplication::OnKey: 61604 pressed, action is 0Always read the XBMC online-manual, FAQ and search the forum before posting. The smbclient is for linux and it's quite some work to "port" it to win32 therefore we're still using the old one. Can't tell why browsing for shares works on XBOX but doesn't on win32. But this is the only problem I know. Yesterday I build up a new media PC with Ubuntu and on XBOX I just put in the IP of this server and was able to browse the shares and to play video from it. Hey All,
anybody have a workaround for shares on Vista Home Premium. The install went fine, I have weather, rss etc.. in dhcp interface ?0? under network settings. I tried static with the same setting as the VISTA pc. No go still get a SMB error when trying to browse for shares. The static works fine on XPsp2 machine. Are you guys mapping your drives? Regards, Dave |
