It`s not a bug, it was never coded.
i don`t use library mode so i never properly configure any of my plugins to run that way.
setinfo is already used but no sort method.
I will look at it when i have time.

1. I agree. I'm getting a lot of use out of the ninjavideo and quicksilver plugins. Cheers to Voin!

Agreed 500%. NV, quicksilver, DivVin, TV Shack, etc - are absolutely amazing Wink

joebrady Wrote:2. Would like to see the plugin for audiobooks.

joebrady Wrote:3. A plugins tutorial would be great. I know all of this can be learned from a Google search, but i've had a hard time finding xbox specific stuff. Even if you put up sections and tasked pieces of projects out to people, I'm sure that could help lighten your work load, especially for those requests that are put on the far back burner. I honestly don't know where you find the time to do all this great free work for all of us moochers! Thanks a ton tho!Big Grin

Very much agreed. I keep meaning to devote time to learning this stuff. I've got wireshark and will try playing around with it soon. Wink

I've got my very last exam coming up soon so after that I'll get stuck in to trying to learn this Wink

Not exactly a request, but it deals with Voinage plugins.
Are the revised plugins the ones found on the SVN? How often is that updated?
Thanks once again for the great work!

Voinage,

my request is for a plugin/script for watching globo.com content, pls check here:

http://forum.xbmc.org/showthread.php?tid=33713

All globo.com content is based on the following:

- There is a index page per show, indicating the available episodes.
- From that index page, you can get through the actual content, as you explained in the mentioned post.

In think the ideal would be making a configurable input file (i.e. xml) where the desired shows and their respective index pages are inputted manually by the user. The script/plugin would then "hunt" the content links to stream them via XBMC.

Brazilian users XBMC would be very grateful for your work on this, particularly the ones living abroad.

Thanks for your support and effort.

Regards

Ricardo.

Already looked at globo & you don`t need a config selection, they have a great search engine to pull the links. I`m 1/2 way into this - i partially built a plugin to test the viability of the links i found for you. I am slowly working my way through this ever increasing list and i must say i`m enjoying it.

There will be some new releases very soon.

Cheers ,

Voinage.

Hi Voinage!

Thanks for all your hard work. Will you setup a donate button through paypal so people like myself can send you a few dollars? This is truly awesome stuff. I just installed XBMC on my xbox last night and it's amazing what you've done with the help of a few others.
#55
Please don`t do that, thanks for the thought though.
I am not motivated by money.

Just enjoy using the plugins and the excellent xbmc.

Thanks Voinage.

Voinage,

indeed, the search page is the key. It seems they have more than one search page. Most of the shows can be searched like this:

http://busca.globo.com/Sites/GE/buscar.ssp

Others, i.e. Jornal Nacional (the primetime news show) is searched through something like this:
http://video.globo.com/Videos/Busca/0,,7...ntegra&o=1

An idea would be to let the users input what they want to search via xml and your script would them focus on hunting the videos via the search links provided and parse the sources to extract the correct direct video links.

Will you use some sort of m3u files for outputting the video links?

I would really like to help you if I could only know a little of python coding ...

A final note: the Jornal Nacional files are protected by auhentication. I suppose that just adds in the challenge for you.

Regards
Ricardo.

3voor & lusterpaal are not going to happen.
Everythings great apart from the fact that the media is encoded in swf files and xbmc doesnt play swf files.

gets you:

Code:

It would be cool if you could make a plugin for the ESPN podcast

Thanks for all your work!

Ah, to bad. But thanks for checking! Is there a clear reason for not supporting swf? I mean...is it possible, at all, to get it supprted. If so, who should I ask?

I gave it a try myself today, streaming media from 3voor12. If I understand correctly from your code the main thing is to find a way to filter the right data with the right regular expressions. The rest is pretty straight forward. Python is a not so complicated language. Maybe, if you could find the time, you could explain the very basics of writing such plugins. Maybe use a example script and extremely well comment it? That way some people might be able to take some load off your shoulders.

regexp is something I have been avoiding for a while because it seems so boring to learn. Event hough I understand the importance and power of them. Now seems a good time to dive into some documentation...
