How to enable LIRC in XBMC
#1
Hello,

i got my remote working in LIRC i think,

i see the cmd's when i run 'irw'

It gives something like

00000000800f041f 00 down mceusb
00000000800f041f 01 down mceusb

i edited my Lircmap.xml and renamed to lircmap.xml

But nothing works, XBMC wont respond to my remote.

What does xbmc.log show? It should hopefully show what you push.

For mceusb it should be mapped already so you won't need to edit anything for it to work
<EDIT> Reread your post: You shouldn't need to change the name to lircmap.xml. it looks after Lircmap.xml.
If IRW picks up mceusb it should automagically work in XBMC aswell by default, so try to rm BUILD directory, svn update, and run ./build.sh again to be sure the directory is fresh (you may want to save your keymap.xml on another location but do NOT put it in the fresh directory just now Smile )

If that doesn't work then the log would be wonderfull
