Isn't this just a matter of getting the file URL? I don't know how this plugin works, but if that's the case, here's an example:

TV SPOT:

Didn't notice that...

I can't make this work at all though, no matter what quality I select for trailers. I click on "Apple Movie Trailers II", a window pops up but it seems that it can't download any trailers list. The window closes and nothing shows up.

Help please...

If this is on an acutally Xbox as opposed to a PC/Mac you may need to lower your resolution. I had mine originally set to my XBMC to 1080i and the apple movie trailer plugins wouldn't work for. I lowered it to 480p and it works fine now, this is the resolution for XBMC and not the trailers. Something to do with not enough memory to run at 1080i and run the script or something to that effect IIRC. If it is on a PC then I have no idea as it worked fine for me on my PC.

It's a PC, running Windows to be more exact... I decided to try that anyway, selected a resolution of 16:9 PAL, but "Apple Movie Trailesr II" still doesn't load...

Hello all, I am new to the XBMC scene and have successfully installed the Quicktime plugin, however, I can't seem to update the trailers. I see on Apple's website that new trailers are there but my list in XBMC doesn't update automatically and I can't even find a manual update option. Can someone please help me out?!?!

If you use the script Apple Movie Trailers, go in Settings and check the option "Refresh the neest at startup" but be careful, that mean it will relaod everything at startup (it could take time)
If you use Apple Movie Trailers (installed thanks to the script so), press context menu -> plugin settings, but I didn't see similar option, I guess it is common between the script and plugin since they both use the same database, but is is just a guess.

Thanks for that. U pointed me in the right direction, however, I now have a new problem. I updated the trailers by going to Configure the System>Scripts>Apple Movie Trailer Plug-ins. I changed the setting and everything to my liking but cannot link the trailers to my "Videos" or "Watch Movies" section on the home screen. From there, I can only access the old trailers from the svn install. Everytime I try the option for that link, the Home Theater plug-in or the "Install All Plug-ins", I get an error message and have no idea what to do to get it working. If anyone can help me, I'd greatly appreciate it.

i just installed this from the svn via

in /home/me/.xbmc/plugins/video

svn checkout ...

shows up in my videos / video plugins but as i hit return to access nothing happens. can't find a log file - any ideas? everything else is working - system is ubuntu 8.10. apt release of xbmc
