Hi,

Since Kodi 18 b5 the first time it needs to send the sound through HDMI it takes about 10s to get the sound on my amp. Does someone have the same issue ?

Windows 10 x64 latest 1809 build (latest KB)
i5 7500 and Intel HD 630 with HDMI driver 10.26.0.1, GPU driver 25.20.100.6373
Yamaha RX-V581 with firmware v2.59

Still happening with Kodi 18 RC1

I believe this is part and parcel of the HDMI handshaking and interrogation of the connected devices (ala HDCP routines to ensure end to end DRM), I don't think you're alone in this, but it bothers me not, once the connection has been established.

In fact the issue happens when I play another video after.
A bit annoying in fact, but as you said I can live with it
