Sounddevice not installed properly?
#1
Hello,

i've got XBMC running nice and stable for over a week now.

Got everything working, atleast i think it works.

I'm not sure about my soundcard.. its a onboard Realtek ALC888.

I have sound, 2.0 out.. that's what i need.. but i notice when changing SRT Subtitle and skipping forward/backward in the movie it's always the problem with sound.
Also some 1080p/720p movies stutter.. sound only, no video. CPU cores aint even maxed out when sound starts stuttering.

So i checked XBMC.log and found errors like this:

Code:
17:32:50 T:2650704784 M:418242560   DEBUG: shifting from 40 to 76 by (-1350, 70)
17:32:50 T:2650704784 M:418242560   DEBUG: forced line break at 39

17:32:50 T:2650704784 M:418242560   DEBUG: shifting from 40 to 76 by (-1350, 70)

and also

Code:

That's the only thing i can see..it this normal or does it something isn't setup properly?

Btw i do HEAR sound.. so it's working Wink but i experience in some 1080p movies some stuttering.. also in 720p movies btw.

CPU wont be the problem, running 3,0Ghz @ E8400.

Ok sorry for the late reply,

here's a fulllog from when running Killasample, this makes the audio stutter, bot not the video.
XBMC shows CPU Cores running @ 85% both, but Audio Aq = 0 - 5 %..

Started video @ 12:03:09
