Have you "set content" from the "context menu"?, read the XBMC online-manual (see my signature bellow). If you still do not get it work then we need to know build date and if other internet stuff is working (like the RSS feed and weather)

hi again,
i did manage to get the imdb info for each movie.
but the scan on a folder that contains a number of movies did nothing...
am i miss understanding something? maybe it shouldn't work for a folder?
thanks again.

What options did you set for the IMDb scraper?
Did you set content on the different folders separately?

I´m having the same problem, RSS works fine though I don´t use weather so that I don´t know. I have set the content and I used the Imdb scraper but nothing happend same thing goes for movies and Tv-series. Could it be a router related issue? Is there any specific ports that have to be opened? I did read the manual but didn´t find anything about that

depends on what you mean by latest.
Latest stable release v 2.01 sometime in 2006 = badly outdated and sure not to work for online lookup.
latest t3ch (bleeding edge) every two weeks, should work fine.
