Recently with afl matches I have found that the bookmark is not working properly.
- start watching match
- exit video
- restart the video, it pops up asking for the bookmark or beginning
- choose the bookmark, the screen flashes and it begins at the start (bookmark removed)

This is with VOD content I assume? (Can't resume live) I think I know what it could be

Hi Matt,

Sorry but I do not know if its VOD content, how to I determine this?
Tried again with inputstream set for VOD, but did not fix it.
Earlier report was wrong, it seems it does keep the bookmark

Thanks Derek

No. Same issue.
When selecting to start from the bookmark (after exiting) it flashes and begins at the start.
bookmark remains
select resume at time again, starts playing from the start
rinse and repeat
Cannot get it to start playing from the bookmark (where I was up to last viewing).

Did something stopped working its failing to login along with sky go nz

Both working fine. So something with your setup.
Kayo requires AU ip address. Sky go requires NZ ip address

Did a reinstall and it's working fine now.

Can you please explain how does changing option of use hls for live stream and using widevine l1 would affect stream quality considering device is l1 secure.

Also how do I know which source is better Akami or cloudfront at times one of them gives high jitters

L1 widevine device is irrelevant for Kayo
IA HLs just affects certain features.
Best to keep with default settings.

again, usually Akami is better.
Buffering will be your connection usually.
I suspect your not in Australia - so probably caused by whatever your using to pretend to be in australia

Thanks I would like to request a feature if possible since during these times in peak hours there is slowdown in international bandwidth due to network congestion. Is it possible to include a feature to follow a different video quality during specified time? So in peak hours play at mentioned bitrate and other time at different bitrate?

@dinjo
that's relatively easy to do in code, except making the settings for that would be a nightmare.
So, for this add-on it won't be added.

The correct solution to your issue is Adaptive playback.
Where the quality automatically switches depending on your internet speed.

The add-on uses Inputstream Adaptive which doesn't currently support Adaptive playback.
However, there was a GSOC for 2020 for that so hopefully it adds it in soon (soon as in next few months)

In the meantime, if you change Quality to Bypass - IA should choose the initial quality based on your current download speed.
With Bypass, you can still use Context menu to force a quality.
