SkyTicket: not playing anything
#1
Hi,

I just installed Kodi (version 18.2) and the Skyticket add-on. (I had bought a Skyticket subscription earlier in the day.)

On I go to fulfill my one and only goal in all of this, which was to watch Season 8 of Game of Thrones. You can imagine my frustration when I pressed on episode 4 and got... nothing at all. The title of the episode
flashed briefly, and that was it.

I get the same with other shows (not that I would want to watch them).

What should I do?

Best
Harald

I think that's one you'll have to take up with the add-on author, who to the best of my knowledge doesn't have a presence here (it's not an add-on I've ever heard of).

From the log it looks like it may be suffering from Google's recent changes on Widevine and DRM - from your log:

Code:

Perhaps try the KodiNerds forum, given that it's a German add-on?

Tried the German forum - nobody replied.

Based on the log, is there anything I can do?

I don't think so, but I'm not an expert on this.

As mentioned it's something Google changed, which has hit other add-ons as well (see here from the Amazon Prime Video thread for example).

If your device hardware isn't one that's licensed by Google (which it isn't otherwise you wouldn't have the error) then I don't think there's much that can be done from the user end. I'd contact the add-on author (there should be details in the information screen of the add-on itself) or the GitHub repo (here) and raise an issue there. It's the Kodinerds repo though, so if they haven't answered your post on their forum then there's not much more that can be suggested unfortunately.

I would probably blame inputstream. I'm not sure how inputstream works, but obviously it seems to try to get some keys which it doesn't get due to a server error (see the 500 error in the log).

@peak3d might know best probably

I'll reply on the german forums as well

Sorry, I lost the overview about sky(ticket) addons, but I remember that there are some hurdles to get it finally working. Beside this the web sites have changed not long time ago.
