Kodi/Mythtv on Chromebook
#1
I'm trying to setup Mythtv access on my Chromebook via the Kodi App (18.2) and the Mythtv PVR addon ( 5.10.7).

I know I could escape to Linux and do a normal mythtv Linux frontend  as I do on my other laptops , but it takes a lot of prerequisites and I have minimal resource in Linux on the chromebook.

After I run configure on the addon it grabs my channel lineup and guide info from the myth backend , and Kodi live TV seems to work. I'm surprised that the channel numbers are completely different than on myth.

What I don't know how to do is access the recordings on the Myth backend.

Beyond that its a problem that Kodi can't keep up with the video on many of the channels. This is a recent Dell Insteon Chromebook with with an Intel N3060 CPU and Intel 915 graphics. Is there any workaround for accelerated video in Kodi or using an external app with it for the actual video?
