v16 The database disk image is malformed
#1
Kodi seems to be forgetting the position within a video. I looked in the log and I'm seeing:-
Code:

16:59:29 T:123145311043584 WARNING: Skin Helper Simplecache --> Database ERROR ! -- database disk image is malformed
16:59:29 T:123145304526848 WARNING: Previous line repeats 1 times.

How do I fix this?

@kit105 - unfortunately you have a banned addon (wiki) repo installed (and maybe others, your log does not have debug logging enabled). Due to this being a violation of the forum rules (wiki) that you accepted and agreed to when you signed up here, we cannot offer you support whilst it is in place.

For support to be available, please uninstall that repo and anything else which may feature on that list.

Code:
20:00:19 T:140735205261312  NOTICE: ADDONS: Using repository superrepo.kodi.jarvis.programs

The forum moderators have determined that banned addons (wiki) are present on your system. To receive assistance here, these banned items must be removed. If a clean log is not submitted within 3 days, then the relevant post(s) will be removed after this time.

Uninstall the repo from the GUI menu (addons > addon browser > my addons > addon repository, select it and then uninstall).

If you have anything else installed that's on that banned list then that needs to go as well in a similar manner. Before posting a new log, enable debug logging (settings > system settings > logging > enable debug logging) then reboot your device, reproduce your issue and upload that log in the same way you did before.

I've followed the above instructions to see this new error, but I'm still seeing the problem of the position within a video is not retained so I can't resume from where I had previously stopped.

Code:

The best and simplest solution is to delete the MyVideos99.db file and rescrape your video collection. A database file is not a simple text file, and restoring or repairing errors can be very complex and time-consuming.

Next time, keep backups of your database(s), and do regular Video Library Exports in case you need to rescrape your videos.
