When there is thumbnails on screen the scrollbar becomes distorted when using it, I like to disable this feature.

I took a random screenshot from the web and photoshoped how it look because when I try to take a screenshotm there's no distortion at all.

It's your TV doing it, nothing to do with XBMC. You have a CRT which distorts the image based on what is onscreen.

It also does it on my hdtv. I'm using s-video cables, will getting component cable fix it?

What is your XBMC platform, what screen resolution and what XBMC version?
