In my Kodi setup I use the option named „Jump to first unwatched episode“. Works fine in my library.

I was wondering if there is any way to get this working for addons like Netflix, too.

A bit research lead me to this issue by the developer of the Netflix addon:
https://github.com/xbmc/xbmc/issues/16171

So it seems to be a core function should to be extended.
