Cannot import watchstate / playcount
#1
Hello

I have the following advancedsettings.xml in my user data folder...

<advancedsettings version="1.0">
<videolibrary>
  <importwatchedstate>true</importwatchedstate>
</videolibrary>
</advancedsettings>

I have correct nfo with playcount 1. After using 'Scan for new content', playcount still is not imported. Where am I going wrong please?

Thank you

We will need a Debug Log which captures you trying to scrape the movie and nfo file. Also post your nfo file to Kodi Paste Site

Remember that if the movie is already in your library, then you need to use Refresh to update the existing library entry

Hi Karellen. This is related to the same series you are helping me with here, although same applies to all other series where playcount doesn't import either.

I just tested your nfo files, and the playcount and last played were imported into the database.

Are you using the default skin Estuary? If yes, you need to change your view Sort to play count in the Left Sideblade menu to see the play count.

Swap skins and the play count and last played dates should be displayed on the information page.

Yeah I'm using default Estuary. In the left sideblade menu under 'Sort by', I do have 'play count' option. All the options I have there are...

Title
Episodes
Last played
Date added
Year
My rating

In TV shows for this series I'm showing 0/18 and there are no little ticks for the episodes that I've watched/has playcount of 1 in nfo.

Edit: Sorry, I found 'Sort by' Play count now, but play count is 0 for all.

Edit: RESOLVED! - I closed Kodi, reopened, refreshed and all of a sudden there is the playcount, present and correct. The only thing that has changed was the episode naming as we discussed in other thread, so perhaps this had something to do with it.

Thanks again Karellen.
