I have not really explored this problem to much yet but I thought I would see if any one had a quick fix. I am running svn 14513 on ubuntu 8.04. xbmc seems to be running fine but I canstantly have a note un ubuntu saying I have an update but I get the error at the bottom everytime I try to update.

xbmc: Depends: xbmc-web-pm3 (= 2.1a2svn14513-hardy1) but it is not going to be installed

dirty fix

dpkg -i --force overwrite /var/cache/apt/archives/xbmc-web-pm3_2.1a2svn14513-hardy1_i386.deb

oups, sorry for being late to answer. It's fixed now . If you didn't use the --force option , you should only update the cache and install xbmc again

sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get upgrade xbmc
