Accessing SBC shares from Android: "Operation not permitted" after password change
#1
When you change the SBC user password on my Windows 10, you need to change it in the "Sources" section of Kodi on your Android. However, for some reason, the password even though it is shown as saved in the UI, is not really saved and I kept getting "Operation not permitted" message. So, I needed to download a file manager with editing capabilities and change the password directly in the passwords.xml file. Path to file: Android/data/org.xbmc.kodi/files/.kodi/userdata/ and, as .kodi is a hidden file, you need to explicitly allow viewing hidden files in the file manager, it's off by default.

Once you open passwords.xml you will see what you need to change for your particular source/share, it's pretty self-explanatory. All this activity with a Mi Box remote took me almost an hour. So, it will be good if this is fixed.
