Which one is it?

This is what the log reports after starting BBC1 live. I could not tell you if it's an IA problem or an add-on error.

I'd imagine this is the right place for reporting IA issues:

If you are referring to the warning in the log; that is an IA problem. It's logged by IA, concerns parsing the dash manifest, but the same manifest has no problems on Kodi 20. However, the log line states '*may* occur', so whether it is the actual problem remains to be seen. Manifests from ITVX's live streams for instance, have the same tag and play fine. Also, this piece of the log is only a few milliseconds after the stream is started, while the problem appears to occur after about 20 seconds. It would be interesting to see what's logged next.

Just out of interest, has anyone tried to disable 'Play stream automatically ...' in iPlayer WWW's settings and manually select each CDN to see if that makes a difference?

I've tried all the settings' options but the issue shows up in all of them.

It does look awfully similar to the issue raised in this thread, with inputstream.adaptive being the likely culprit:

None of the settings of this add-on can change what happens after the stream URL has been passed to the Kodi player. IA will resolve the URL, download the manifest, and start playing back the stream.

If something breaks at this point, you need to report it with IA as suggested by @popcornmix. They will ask you to provide the affected MPD, so just download it with a web browser or a tool like wget or curl. The URL should appear in the log a few likes above the snippet you provided.

Other than that, I recommend to stick to the „recommended“ version of Kodi and not to use betas in productive environments.

I've just installed this add-on and have an issue with live radio.

Every station I try I just get 10 seconds before the audio cuts off, the counter reads 05:59:47 - 06:00:00

I'm in the UK & have put my bbc.co.uk login details in.

Any help greatly appreciated.

It seems that the latest update to inputstream.adaptive  (21.4.4) has provided the much needed fix.
Thank you.

Which version of Kodi and Inputstream Adaptive are you running?

If you are on Kodi 21, please make sure Inputstream Adaptive is at least version 21.4.4 as per @otinley 's message.

@CaptainT I have a small request. Could you remove the content type for these types of lists please:

At the moment they're set to episodes which means they have to use the same view type that is set for episodes when they'd look be better using a different one.

Thanks.

At the moment everything is set to episodes.

What would you like to set this to, and how to differentiate between these and other directories within the add-on? After all, "Most popular" only contains episodes.

Other addons leave the content type empty unless there is actual content (eg episodes, movies, music, etc.) that way users can have one view type for the non-content lists, one for episodes, one for movies, etc.

Thanks.

Thanks for the explanation. I can certainly do that. However, I was under the impression the SetContent type was specifically meant for folders containing multiple programmes/episodes/videos while the listitem.SetInfo video/mediatype was meant to set that information on streams.

I may be completely wrong here, a lot of the tags in Kodi is still a mystery to me. If you (or anyone else) know some good documentation on what should or should not be set, I would be happy to learn more.

That's more than I know but maybe someone like @learningit or @matthuisman could help.

I'm using a Raspberry Pi 4

Kodi: 21.0-RC2 (20.90.910) Git:21.Orc-Omega
InputStream Adaptive: 21.4.3.1

I see I don't meet the minimum version for InputStream Adaptive, where can I get the minimum version for the Pi as updating via the add-on menu shows my version as the latest version available.
