When I install this mod I lose the images all-together. My background turns black. I've tried it several times with no success.

My config
Original xbox
Running XBMC 2008-09-08 SVN rev15452
Resolution 720p
Skin installed to a fresh directory (e:/apps/xbmc/skin/aeon.lite)

The non-modded aeon skin works fine.

Any idea what is wrong?

I have the same black background issue. No fix from me yet, hopefully someone else know.

I also have the same black background issue. How do I get back to my original skin? I'm not trying to sound lazy, but I spent a could 20 minutes trying to look for the "skin" setting to go back to my default, and couldn't find it in the AEON lay out. Can someone throw me a bone?

Best I can do from memory...

Aeon has 3 bars

Middle bar has all your typical user shortcuts: videos, music, tv, pictures, etc...

Top bar has some settings like system, screen, and aeon. You need to select screen.

That's it really. You should be on the skin selection screen right away.

thanks jeff, that did the trick and made me feel a little silly actually. Rolleyes

For those of you guys that got the black screen, which version did you guys try? I used the last one of these four....

D Unit, I'd like to respond with an answer, but I'm honestly not sure which version I used. I started with the link on the first page of this thread and then looked for another copy. Neither of them worked.

I've just been using the default Aeon and playing with Horizonz.

So I just installed the Aeon Lite skin for my Apple TV so it would run a lot better, and I noticed I'm getting these strange vertical lines on the top half of the screen JUST when I'm in Showcase view. Its right where the Gradient lets off. I'm running mod2 of aeon lite, but it just won't go away.

Any ideas, anybody?

EDIT: Okay, noticed something else. It only happens in Showcase view, but ONLY when in Library mode. Not in Showcase view in Files mode. Strange, I have to say.

Nevermind I fixed this problem by changing the icon set.

Well, mine is running on the xbox. I'm not sure where you get to this menu on the pc,mac or linux version. But I just pressed down the right anolog stick on the xbox controller (like a button) and it brings up a menu to choose a different icon set. I chose a different set and it seemed to the fix the problem.

I don't remember if i had to reset after I changed it or not. But give it a try. Hope that helps.

I'd like to very much take a stab at stripping it down and making the new Stark 'lite' ... Nod

looking forward to the release like everyone else... I do make updates for myself but i have not shared them as of yet

A new "Lite" would be cool! Right now, I just want to grab the latest one from this thread...and it seems there was some confusion as to which was the most recent.
