I updated from ubuntu 18.4 to 20.4 and kodi upgraded by itself. I was on krypton before the update. After lots of trouble it seems like latest nightly is somewhat usable. However I have some issues with scanned tvshows. 
Kodi start some tvshows as audio. If I start it from files it starts as video. Any idea what could be wrong? Haven't tried with movies.

the issue seems to be scanned tv-show that is in rar format.

To receive meaningful assistance you will need to provide a full debug log.

If you are using the Basic Method, then ensure the following is applied...
1.Enable debugging in Settings>System Settings>Logging,
2.Restart Kodi
3.Replicate the problem.
4.Upload the log to Kodi Paste Site manually or use the Kodi Logfile Uploader. (wiki) With either method post the link to the log back here.

If you are using the Advanced Method ensure you have correctly created and applied the advancedsettings.xml file (wiki)

In both instances, you should see the word DEBUG throughout the log.

I decided to try setting up kodi from scratch since I was using krypton before jumping to matrix. Will see what happens when it's done scraping
