Doesn't anyone look at the logs? Would like to know why Kodi is no longer usable on a Shield TV Pro 2019.

why use the latest builds if they are not reliable? why not use 18.6?  seems like your problem is using builds that are not prime time ready yet...

I have test today the new 18.7 final and this have also the problem. I say all new builds after weeks have the issues. 4k is smooth yes but 720 and 1080 have the issues. The normal 18.6 are also ok but the last 18.6 dev are not ok. I try to help, sacrifice my time with test, post logs but the support here doesn't respond. I find it a shame to request logs from users and then stop responding.

You can get your money back at the service counter. Oh, wait...

You also got a PM back. I suggest you read it carefully.

Hi to all. i also have these weird problems with stuttering in videos 720p and 1080p and rare to 4k videos. all videos are in mkv container and most of them are in 23.976fps. the problem gets worse if framerate is 25.000 or 29.970. i'm using latest Kodi 19 nightlies build with Nvidia Shield TV Pro 2019. this stuttering problem happened i think from 14-15 days now. i also noticed that in Kodi services in smb if i put in minimum and maximum protocol smb1 the problem almost fixing with litlle stuttering and not as before. i know this is so strange with smb but i have to report to you this. i play movies and tv series from my pc with samba share and from 2 nas that i have beside my Oled tv. please when you have the time check this weird problem. thank you!!! be well, Spiros-Greece.

I don't know if it is due to smb but I have also tested nfs and I have the same problem so I think it is not due to smb. I have tested Kodi 19 and 18.7 on my Sony XE9305 and there I have the same problem. Under Windows 10 I do not have the problem. If you found a solution please tell me. Which OS Build use you on your Shield? I use the latest 8.1.1.

Now you can long wait here. You see i have posts logs but nothing. You can also make a dabug log please. Maybe you'll have better luck.

Same problem here with a Shield 2017 and 25 Hz-material in 720/1080. It wasn't there with the official 18.6 Release.

Hopefully the devs will find a solution (and I'm willing to wait and will go back the older version - despite the new release).

now i have installed again the kodi-20200404-6de683c2-master-arm64-v8a.apk build as suggested from user Schrotty as good build. now the videos play fine, not even a single stuttering.
please developers of Kodi check what changed after this working build kodi-20200404-6de683c2-master-arm64-v8a.apk and find a fix for this problem. thank you. be well, Spiros-Greece.
