Android Can't figure out why subtitles won't download.

Sad
Hello,

Ive used Kodi as my default media player for about a year, and I'm not very technologically advanced.

Unless I download subtitles and put them on my hard drive, I cannot download subtitles using the built in feature.

I can't use opensubtitles because it requires a registered account which I cannot make because I can't access it using my computer.

I have subscene and addic7ed and neither of them can find any subtitles and most of the time shows an error "unable to determine episode data".

If anyone can please assist me, thank you Smile

I'm in Australia BTW

You cannot open https://www.opensubtitles.org at all? Perhaps we can start with you providing us Kodi's debug log (wiki) file, so we can get an initial glimpse of what is happening.

Regarding open subtitles, no I can't. This pops up every time from my IP.

"Access to requested content/website has been disabled by an order of the Federal Court because it infringes or facilitates the infringement of Copyright.

This is not an error message."

And how do i find the debug log?

You can either follow the link -> debug log (wiki) for instructions or you can install the Kodi Log Uploader from the Kodi repo and use that.  See -> https://kodi.wiki/view/Add-on:Kodi_Logfile_Uploader

Well, the log is sort of right Smile  Unfortunately, you forgot to put Kodi into debug mode before getting it.  So, if you go Settings->system->logging and enable debug logging ( or press <ctrl>+<shift>+d on a keyboard) and then shut Kodi down.  Next, restart Kodi, reproduce issue trying to download subtitles and then upload that log.

Cheers.

/storage/0F59-0D56/The Girls Next Door/Girls Next Door Season 2/(09) When in Rome.avi

That is not really a recommended naming format when scraping TV episodes.
In case of troubles, try:
/storage/0F59-0D56/The Girls Next Door/Season 2/Girls Next Door.S02E09.When in Rome.avi
