I know there's a lot of websites providing video streams of the olympics. Does anyone know how to stream them to XBMC?

There is a direct stream I would think someone could do something with. I'm a noob and don't have any experience with XBMC other than being a user.

Ok, so since content is available online, I decided to try streaming it to my TV via XBMC

I got the stream URL from nbcolympics.com, I tried viewing it on PC - WinAMP opened it with no problem (apparently I have winamp installed, who knew) . So I added the URL to a ".strm" file, and opened the file in XBMC - I can HEAR the audio content but video is an all white screen.

Any idea how to fix this?

the log file is located in your XBMC dir on your xbox. it's named "xbmc.log".

open it with notepad and copy the content to your clipboard then goto http://pastebin.com/ and paste the clipboard to the inputscreen of pastebin.
make sure that your "post" will be retained for at least a week and post the link to your logfile here.

in case you got some webspace of your own you might upload the logfile there and post a link to it here

You will have to enable debug logign for example in the settings though !

Ok, I generated a debug log and it seemed like I am missing some codec's. I got the latest pack for mplayer, but I am not sure if windows codec would work on XBOX or if I need something special

On http://www.eurovisionsports.tv/olympics, you have 12 Live Streams of all olypmic events that are happening - should be the best offer. the only problem is, that i can not get he streaming urls of that pagte to paste them somewhere, xbmc can use them - some any idea how to read the urls of that site out?

I cannot get to those links as I am not in EU, but you can use a network sniffer - or cheap and easy way to try is to use Firefox with Firebug plugin, open the stream and then go to the net page of firebug.

If you get those streams , can you post them (or PM me?)

I cant see them neither - very strange, but i cant even see the site with firefox - only for a short moment, so if someone finds the streams, it would indeed be nice if you post...
