OS X Crash or slowdown of .mkv videos on Kodi

Wink
Very good to everyone !!
I hope you can help me …
The issue is that I have a Mac Mini, OS High Sierra, 16gb of Ram, 2.3ghz Intel Core i5 processor and an Intel HD Graphics 3000 512MB graphics card and I have it connected to the TV via HDMI and I connect the mac mini external hard drives and I play them through the Kodi Leia18.8 program (without libreelec or osmc)

I have tried it with the player that I have on the OS called MOVIST and it does not fail.

The point is that when playing videos, all .mkv make the videos jerk, that is, the image slows down a bit and then the normal video continues and does it again … And so all the playback but the sound does not failure.

Why does it? What are the reasons for this ‘’ jerks ‘’ “snitching” or momentary slowdowns of the video? Is there any way to accelerate the hardware as with LibreElec which has the hardware acceleration MMAL ??

Can someone help me please?? Because I’m very lost in this case and I don’t know what to do anymore because this situation is a nuisance when it comes to enjoying the reproductions… …
Hopefully yes and I thank you in advance !!

That graphics card will handle h264 videos just fine, but it is becoming ancient technology.
Anything newer like h265/hevc, vp8/9, av1, will not have hardware-acceleration.
In which case the CPU will have to do the decoding, normally resulting in hiccups and an overheating system.

Hi Klojum!!! Exact, all I move from videos are H.264 and nothing else. It is what I do not understand the pq if they are all the same ...

Why can I do it without using other formats?

We'll need a debug log (wiki) from your Kodi device to so what is going with your videos.
