Happening or Mac OSX and also Raspberry Pi / Ubuntu, with clean install of the latest Kodi as of today's date (1.31.2021). 

Try to install any add on, all fail with pop up message: "The dependency on script.module.idna version 2.6 could not be satisfied."

Since this occurs on both Mac and RPi/Ubuntu, it seems like out of the box Kodi is not usable.  Did I miss something?

There seems to maybe be (another) issue with the mirrors at the moment.

It's being looked into, as there are a few dependencies which aren't being served up properly at the moment.
