Question  Option to View and Play Videos under Pictures?
Post: #1
Hi there!

It would be really nice that the xbmc can show videos (ex. made by a digicam) unter "Pictures". If you want to show friends your pictures you can show the taken videos too.

Thanks!

As a workaround you can use the "Switch media" button in the context menu.

Thank you for your quick answer.
Will there be a special feature in the future too?

I edited my advancedsettings to contain
<pictureextensions>
<add>.avi|.mpg|.mpeg|.mov</add>
<remove>.ex3|.ex4</remove>
</pictureextensions>
but when browsing to a movie it only turned black.

Shall this work, or do I have to do something else?

EDIT
What I mean is when the videos is in the same dir as the pictures..

Question  Adding videos to Pictures?
Post: #5
Hello,
I have used advancedsettings.xml to add .avi to the picture extensions.
but I only get the first frame of the video as a picture.

I was kind of expecting it to play the video, am I doing something wrong?

Is this how it is meant to go

There's more involved. There's a trac ticket requesting such support already. To do it properly will take some time.

Cheers,
Jonathan
