Hello. 

I have been having trouble getting Kodi to start on my Mac. I have previously used older versions on a different Mac, but that is a few years ago now.

Currently running Big Sur 11.6 on a Macbook Air (M1, 2020). 

I have tried installing older versions and nightly builds. Same message appears. Can not even get it to start.

I get the "Kodi quit unexpectedly" message, and I am asked to reopen.

I sincerely hope someone has some useful unput. I have searched the forums for similar problems, but I cant find anything for this specific problem.

Turns out I´m fxxxxxx stupid. -edited by MOD-

Another thread gave the idea of deleting old files, but I didnt think I had any old files since this is a new computer.

Since I had used Kodi previously on an older Mac, the files from the old installation probably carried over when I bought my new Mac. I tried deleting the old files from the folder:  user/Library/Application Support/Kodi.

And now it works...
