Linux How to share MovieSetInfo across different Kodi instances when using shared Database?
#1
Hi,

I've set up two instances of Kodi 19.3.

My main instance is on my linux desktop.  That's where I manage media & sets.  The media are stored on a NAS FileServer, mounted over NFS.  Data is also on the FileServer, running on and shared in Mariadb10.

For getting to and playing Media on the 2nd instance, on a Amazon FireStick, it works great.

On my desktop I setup and use MovieSets a lot.  I've setup the MovieSetInfo on the NAS, too. On the Firestick Kodi I pointed the MovieSetInfo folder at it.

None of the Sets on the Firestick seem to track.  Movies ARE organized into sets, but they've got different Movie contents & art than the sets I setup on my Desktop.

Seems like I'm not sharing the MovieSetInfo right.

What do you need to do to get different Kodis to use the same Sets?

Do you need to set up some 'pathsubstitution' in 'advancedsettings.xml'?
Something else?

Thanks a lot,

Dave G
