Kodi 19.4 repeatedly crashing to windows after 20 to 40 mins use since 1st of May

Kodi 19.4 on Win 11 Pro 21H2 22000.613. 32GB RAM. NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050 Ti graphics

Kodi started repeatedly crashing to windows after 20 to 40 mins use from 1st May. This is while using the NetFlix addon - the system is rarely used except for NetFlix so it is unknown whether it is specific to this addon. The windows event viewer suggests widevinecdm.dll is the cause and I wonder if it was updated at about that time. I was going to revert to an earlier version but I am not sure where widevinecdm.dll come from.

Debug log 1:- https://paste.kodi.tv/uhuwuwicug.kodi
I have a second debug log which is too large to post on paste.kodi.tv

I noticed that the ordinary log files always ended with a bunch of warnings about audio sync errors. I have no idea if that is relevant (there was no audible desynchronisation) but I have posted 3 of these in case it helps.

Your set-up is sufficient for Kodi operation from a local library. It appears to be a problem with streaming add-ons and suggest you frequent https://forum.kodi.tv/showthread.php?tid=329767

Never got anywhere with this. It isnt specific to Netflix and happened with the Amazon app as well which also uses widevine. Fully updating, even to Kodi 20 with the necessary updated add-ons did not help. Crashes became every 10 - 20 mins and occurred not only on my HTPC but on other machines as well. Completely removing and reinstalling Kodi 19.4 (including manual removal of residuals) with current add-ons did not help. I back up my machines using whole disk image software and eventually restored my HTPC to its configuration as it was in March, well before all of this began. I did this over a week ago and have refused all updates except one necessary for Amazon to play at all. Just one crash since then - vastly better and presumably the problem was due to an update but I dont know which.

I am mystified that only one other person has reported this as it seemed to be such a pervasive issue and I assume the Netflix and Amazon add-ons are widely used. I havent been able to find any other forum where this has been discussed; am I looking in the wrong place?

Hi Archway, were you able to solve the problem? I seem to have the same...

Never actually solved it in the sense of anything specific. Initially reverted to an older version which seemed more or less Ok until the addons (Netflix and Amazon) needed updating to work. Broken again. Then a complete uninstall - automatic plus manual removal of all left overs and reinstall - this time seemed to work.
