#91
I'm not sure why the Author isn't updating here, but you can d/l and install the working TED addon zip from here...

Thanks very much for that link.
My Mac automatically unzipped the zip which caused me a few moments of frustration! :-)

However, the Speakers selection is still rather light - I can't find Clifford Stoll for example. I think I've gone through every option at least twice to check but I may have missed something - could you tell me how I can get a list of all the speakers?

Many thanks

I noticed that RC1 had been released last night and installed it - the TED plugin has been updated to version 3, tho I've not noticed anything extra to the link jiz_king posted in post #91. The speakers list is still a long way from being complete but I'm sure that'll be fixed in good time.

Hi all. I'm not sure what happened to the original author (rwparris), I just heard he was MIA, but I've been trying to get this thing moving again. I'll try to keep a closer eye on this thread in the future.

The version bump was only required to force an upgrade if you had installed the TED plugin using Dharma. There's no new functionality, just a mandatory change in the metadata.
I didn't know the speakers list was light... I'll check that out as soon as I can. If you submit issues to the github repository then I'm likely to pick up on them quicker, I've opened one for this problem.

Thank you Sir. I didn't know about the github repository - I do now! :-)

I've added subtitle support in the github repository master branch (i.e. Eden). If anyone fancies trying it out I'd appreciate feedback before I ask for it to be pulled into the main XBMC repo.

Zip here.

Thank you fir this plug-in! I recently discovered (moreso) these talks when i stumbleed upon a neat one by the author of one of my favourite books - Stiff: the curious lives of human cadavers.

Unfortunately, many do not work, but many do. GOod thing there are over 1000 talks.

thanks!

Thanks for the appreciation and feedback!

There seem to be a few problems with videos playing, see https://github.com/moreginger/xbmc-plugi.../issues/24 and https://github.com/moreginger/xbmc-plugi.../issues/19. Do please file an issue for any talks that won't play (or comment on one of the above if it looks like the same problem).

Subtitle is working for someone on version 3.1.2? I'm using "pt-br,en" in config but no subtitle is found. Any possible fix?

Thanks.
I wish to have Rotten Tomatoes (user+critics) + IMDB both ratings display in skin.

Same here... unable to get any subtitles with version 3.1.2. We should file an issue.

The protocol may have changed. But I have tested to manually download one of the subtitles files and it still works:

Just tested it and TED have indeed wibbled everything needed to play subtitles around. Sigh.

I don't think TED talks.com has any Geo-blocking but the plug-in seemed to only working under the US ip address. That's wield because it will show "plug-in script error" without that.
Update: Problem only occurs when click the newest talks.
BTW, as the above post,I tried to set the language code to"en",it could not find any subtitles either.
