Sorry for a noob question.

How hard or how much work is it to replace the ffmpeg decoder in XBMC?

I feel like that if XBMC-Windows could utilize other decoder to activate GPU-HA, the user base would at least be ten fold.

Of course, this would not be cross platform or even open source decoder.

Newest version might not work without altering the resolves in XBMC since ffmpeg changes some of their APIs according to AreaScout.

API is still the same but you have to apply the patches from xbmc ffmpeg tree

one of the functions has changed from static void to void Nod

yes I got that, I meant where is this new multi-core enabled indicator, in the interface.

It just shows "CPU X core(s) average:" instead of "CPU0".
We only get the CPU average back when not using WMI and there were user complains that XBMC only detects one core.

yeah I found it, nice spot of clarification there Smile

definitely working on both my dual core machines, although I can't say for sure if its detecting quads since I don't have one.
