Thanks for posting this. I think my Android Box updated recently and then I wasn't able to access all of my media files.

Unfortunately after updating Kodi to 21 "omega" the problem returned on Nvidia Shield, and the solution described "always allow" file access in the app's permissions doesn't do the trick. :(  I'm really upset that these updates that are supposed to make things better are actually not. The problem doesn't seem to appear when loading single files, but when you try to play DVD or a Blu Ray more often than not it gives the "one or more items failed to play. Check the log for more information about this message" error. Any help is appreciated.
