Plex v.20 add on for Android TV
#1
Hi guys

I can’t get the Plex for Kodi addon to start after Kodi has updated to v20 through the Play Store on my 2019 NVIDIA Shield. The addon just hangs on the initial load after opening it up (three dots blinking).

I’ve tried completely removing Kodi and setting it up again with the same result.

Log file here: https://paste.kodi.tv/equrucaqes

Any ideas?

The Plex addon is created and supported directly by them.

You may be better checking for any similar issue on their forum and getting support there - https://forums.plex.tv/

I don't have a shield to test, but under Nexus on Windows the addon works fine for me.

Hello,
I am using Plex add on on my Android TVs, because I like appearance of Plex on Kodi.
Few days ago, Kodi has been automatically updated to v.20 and after update on all my Android TVs Plex add on doesn't start. It stuck on logo and that's all.
I uninstall and install Plex add on again, but no success. I uninstall Kodi completely and install it again. Then I install again Plex, but the same situation. Plex stuck on logo.
Any solution?

Same issue here. Thanks for the suggestion but the Plex forums has to be the worst forum on the planet. I want to scoop my eyes out with a spork every time I go there. You would think after all these years they would change to a more user friendly format. End rant.

Did you read the above posts explaining that the Plex addon was created and maintained by the Plex team before posting this unhelpful comment? Look up Smile

I have merged the 2 "Plex is not working on v20" threads into one for the sake of tidiness on the forum and in the hopes people will read it in its entirety and be directed to the Plex forums (the maintainers of the addon) for support.

Went to the messy Plex forum, and found this thread specifically about this topic.

Would be nice you guys could help replying, posting your comments, or adding useful information that could help fixing this current issue.

As a matter as recommended there, the guys that have not updated to KODI 20 yet, better stay away from that update until issues like this gets fixed.
