If they receive a lot of complains from linux users about not being able to play their content on linux, maybe then they'll use a less restrictive DRM and playback on Kodi will also work on PC. I think Disney+ initially didn't allow playback on Linux either, but they rectified.

@slezakimi Playback only works on Android devices.

@Paco8

since people continue to try and use non-android and report errors because of it, do you think it would be useful to put something like "only android devices are supported"

if you were up to it you could put in a check to ensure people are actually using android and alert them of the incompatibility for playback as well

side note, it still works perfect for me and i appreciate the hard work

@Paco

X96Max+2 is the device I'm testing on.
Kodi v20 (Nexus). It won't start on that.
I have not tried it on Windows.

Netflix, HBO Max all go on it, from that I figured that Skyshowtime would too.

i wasnt able to find your exact box X96+2 but the original X96 max only has L3 widevine, i expect its going to be the same - https://androidpctv.com/review-x96-max/

netflix and hbo max allow video playback on L3, peacock/sky does not

they are requiring L1

I tested the addon on several Android devices with Widevine L3 (like my phone) and playback works. If you get that error in your device I guess there must be something wrong with its Widevine.

This is the first thing I state in the first post and the first thing in the Readme.
