Linux How to let OS manage power?
#1
Hello,

I have the Kodi client in window mode running in the background on Ubuntu desktop. Kodi just sits idle at the Kodi Home Screen. I do this so I can AirPlay or play music via DLNA on the computer running this Kodi client. Kodi works great for this.

The only issue is that Kodi keeps the computer from diming the monitor or suspending the computer, even when nothing is playing in Kodi. Is there a way to let the computer manage power?

Thanks

On the Home tab of the ribbon, in the Properties group, select Properties. Select the Power Management group. Enable the client setting to Allow power management of devices.

Home tab? Ribbon? Properties? I'm talking about the Kodi client on Ubuntu, which has none of these interface elements. I appreciate your help, but are you looking at the Kodi client?
