So apparently this is working in the latest version, but I am running embuary which is not available on Kodi 20 yet.  I actually have two installs, the older one is running Leia on a MacBook Pro running Sierra and it works.  But I couldn't get the Netflix authentication key to work on it. 
My Mac Mini is on Mojave running Matrix,  and the Amazon app works with no audio.  When I play a stream and go to settings/audio settings/audio stream it says "none".  Netflix works with audio and I am able to login with the usual credentials.  Which means the inputstream adaptive is able to fetch the audio stream from netflix but not amazon (in the US) apparently.

you are running 0.9.7~beta7+matrix.1 the latest available is 0.9.9~beta so it would be best not to report issues on an old beta version - after all it is beta
