Hello all. I'm trying to get Artist info from any scraper but nothing happens. I did have scraped before from various providers (encyclopaedia metallum, audio DB etc.) but now after reinstalling Kodi nothing is scraped. Also  Artist Slideshow does not scrape anything and does not even show the already downloaded fanart in the folder that I specified in the settings.

To receive meaningful assistance you will need to provide a full debug log.

If you are using the Basic Method, then ensure the following is applied...
1.Enable debugging in Settings>System Settings>Logging,
2.Restart Kodi
3.Replicate the problem.
4.Upload the log to Kodi Paste Site manually or use the Kodi Logfile Uploader. (wiki) With either method post the link to the log back here.

If you are using the Advanced Method ensure you have correctly created and applied the advancedsettings.xml file (wiki)

In both instances, you should see the word DEBUG throughout the log.

1) I have tried all the available artist scraper i.e Generic, Universal, TheAudioDb or Xiami, but none of them was able to discover the following composers / artists: Umberto Giordano, Neoton Família, Cseh Tamás, Benj Pasek & Justin Paul, Nicolas Hopper, Morgan Workshop, Ruggero Leoncavallo, Ghymes, Animal Cannibals, Gérard Presgurvic, Stephen Warbeck, Ettore Stratta, Lele Marchitell, Gioacchino Rossini although they all can be found @ discogs.com. All my metadata are correct, so what music artist scraper do I have to use in order to make sure it’ll find all the artist and their photos?

2) What is to be done if there would be two or three names to identify the artist of an album e.g. Ella Fitzgerald & Louis Amstrong or Paco de Lucia, Al Di Meola, John McLaughlin? Should there be an "and" or a "&" or a “/" just a “," between the names of the two or three artists?

3) Can anyone explain to me why it is that even if I add a photo to an artist it will not be shown in the (music) Album list view?

I use Kodi 19.5 on a Win10 PC, but the very same issues can be found on OSMC/Vero 4K+ platfrom, which runs Kodi 20.2.

I just tried universal artist scraper with Umberto Giordano and it got what's available (no thumb).  With classical typically it is best to use artist/artists tags and album artist/albumartists tags.  That way you can show the artist and album artist credits as desired and use the artists and album artists tags to separate the credits to individual artists.  You should also include mbid artist and album artist ID tags with one-to-one correspondence to the artists and album artists respectively.  Tags used in test:

Thank you for your reply concerning the use of tagging but can you please answer my questions.
What can I do when there is no thumb for the artists?
What has to be in the artist and album artist tags when there are more than one artists for an album?
Why locally uploaded artist (thumb) pictures are not shown on the album list view?

I'm not an expert but you can use your own images.
In your list of Artists
Long Press the Artist's name
Information
Choose art
Thumbnail
Browse
* Item folder assuming that's where you've put them. Otherwise, navigate to them via External Storage or Root files stem.

It's the same process for Album Covers.
