But in my living room I would like to be able to start XBMC and change the sound device to use HDMI audi device instead.
XBMC is launched with my Harmony remote and eventghost is triggering XBMClaunch with a command line parameter to specify the monitor. It would perfect if I could trigger XBMClaunch with another command line parameter to change the sound device... Is that an option that could be easylly added?
Thanks!
There is a cool little program called Vista Audio Changer that works quite well for this....
http://vachanger.sourceforge.net/
It can detect when a *.exe file is started and switch the default audio device before it launches... works well most of the time... you might need to reverse the audio devices in the program setup, it didnt work the way it was suposed to... that might be fixed now though...
