Kodi on ios 16.7 Jailbreak
#1
Hi,

I was just able to jailbreak my IPad Pro 9.7 with ios 16.7 successfully. palera1n is installed successfully and Sileo, Zebra and Filza is also installed fine.
After I was able to "update" some of the default installed packages as well.
Now I figure the problem that KODI is not in the default Repos within Sileo and Zebra. So i checked Google and recognize options to add the thebigboss repo as well ...

I tried "http://apt.thebigboss.org/repofiles/cydia/dists/stable/main/binary-iphoneos-arm/" and also "http://apt.thebigboss.org/repofiles/cydia/" in Sileo and Filza and both are added without any issues.

Unfortunately, in both, the packages shown for thebigboss repo is only 90 packages and without KODI.

Luckily Filza is visible in the packages and I was able to install successfully.

After I tired to install KODI via "http://mirrors.kodi.tv/releases/darwin/ios-arm64/" based on the description for Kodi-wiki ... Downloaded Packages are visible in Filza, but when i try to install the packages I always receive an "package architecture (iphoneos-arm) does not match system (iphonesos-arm64) even if the package is "org.xbmc.kodi-ios_20.2_iphoneos-arm64.deb".

Help is really appreciated :-)  What did i do wrong :-)

Thanks !!

Come on ... no replies ?? no ideas ??

Why is Filza reporting "package architecture (iphoneos-arm) does not match system (iphonesos-arm64) even if the package is "org.xbmc.kodi-ios_20.2_iphoneos-arm64.deb" ... this must be a Kodi Development topic ... by the way Filza report this for ANY Kodi iphones-arm64 package from "http://mirrors.kodi.tv/releases/darwin/ios-arm64/".

Even the package information says ..
new Debian package, version 2.0
Package: org.xbmc.kodi-ios64
Pre-Depends: cy+cpu.arm64
Version: 20.2-0
Architecture: iphoneos-arm

Are there other Cydia/Sileo/Zebra Repos available where i can find "KODI" to install directly from Repo and not from Filza ??

I can't believe that I'm the only one trying this ...

And by the way ... It's the described procedure from Kodi Wiki for ios ...

The issue is caused by jailbreaking the iPad as "rootless", if you jailbreak as "rootfull" you will be able to install it.
Installation instructions here: https://ios.cfw.guide/archived-palera1n-rootful/
After install, add the bigboss archive and voila... Kodi will be there.
