Windows HOW-TO make XBMC for Windows boot as a Shell in Full Screen (the easy way)

Okay...I'm a little surprised that there isn't more info on this...am I the only one that can't get this to work?
I do believe I've followed the steps properly- downloaded silentlaunch, put it on the C:, downloaded instantsheller, put it on the C:, created, silentlaunch.cfg and pointed it to my xbmc executable.
Anyway, end result is this:

Any ideas
The only thing I can think is it's because of the xp version I'm running. It's a stripped down version.

EDIT: Never mind...I'm an idiot. Now, the only thing I'm wondering about is an automatic shutdown of the pc when xbmc is shutdown...

yep the -fs option work, but -p doesnt work. so i removed -p, i also need to get my computer to shutdown and i shutdown xbmc

I'm using Windows 7 on an Acer Revo R3700 and tried this Silent Launch method but it won't work. Can anyone give me a step by step method for Windows 7 (clean install, not the original Acer bloated Windows 7 installation)?

I tried the SilentLaunch option and it seems to work, but when I exit XBMC, I get a blank screen - is that "normal" It would be great to be able to exit XBMC and go back to Windows if need be.

im running or trying to get silent launch running on windows xp. but every time i click the exe for it. it does nothing.
i have the config file in the c directory with the "C:\Program Files\XBMC\XBMC.exe" -fs -p

does nothing . cmd said it cant find the cfg

i tried this:

3. Choose File -> Add/Remove Snap-in....
4. Select Group Policy Object Editor and hit Add.
5. In the wizard that pops up, hit Browse..., go to tab Users, select your user account (the one that you set up to log on automatically in step 1) and hit OK.

But, if i work with a remote control the XBMC-Window is not activated. I have to do a click on the window with the mouse.
What can i do that the XBMC ist booting and the active window?

Sorry, I didn't realise there were any replies to this!

I did look on there but the help for Windows 7 is for the pro, ultimate and enterprise versions, mine is Home Premium.

Still not got it working

Read the whole thread and I realised that most of the information is for XP. Anyway I tried the following for Windows 7 ... and it works perfectly...

Set XBMC as shell for a specific user account

Log in as administrator.
Open the start menu, and type in the search box: mmc <ENTER>.
Choose File -> Add/Remove Snap-in....
Select Group Policy Object Editor and hit Add.
In the wizard that pops up, hit Browse..., go to tab Users, select your user account (the one that you set up to log on automatically in step 1) and hit OK.
Make sure that the checkbox in the wizard is Unchecked, and hit Finish.
Hit OK in the Add/Remove Snap-ins window.
In the User Configuration -> Administrative Templates -> System folder, open Custom User Interface.
Select Enabled and enter the full path (including XBMC.exe and any switches that you may use) in the Interface file name textbox.
Hit OK and reboot your system. It should now log in and start XBMC automatically without showing the start menu and icons first.

Now the only thing I have to do to find a way to change the windows 7 logo to XBMC and if possible the BIOS screen as well for my P5B Delux Wifi Mobo .....

Any suggestions ...?

Does anyone know, if I shift my shell to xbmc if I will loose my bluetooth.
I know it's in the tray, but is'nt it just for bloothtooth info, and thus has nothing todo with the core functions in bluetooth.
Anybody knows? or tryed it?

And if something is needed loading, maybe someone could enlighten me, Heh..
