I am planning on setting up a PC running XBMC. I have been looking for any recommendations on what equip to use (motherboard,video card, OS).
Does anyone have suggestions on equipment that is know to work?

I currently have it running on 3 different PCs and a laptop without any troubble at all.
They are all Core2Duo (2.5GHz - 3.33Ghz),
they are all 2Gb - 4Gb RAM,
there are 2x Vista Business 32, 1x Vista Ultimate 32, 1x Vista Ulitmate 64.
they are all using nVidia video..all different sorts though
they PCs all have gigabyte mainbaords (different models) and one is a laptop
So far they all work great...as long as you steer clear or ATI video i believe there are issues) you shoudl be fine.

I´ve use this config and it rocks hard. Cool and Quiet.
