Set the "back" button on my remote
#1
Hi everybody,
today I installed XBMC on my Ubuntu, and I'm absolutely impressed!
Great job!
I have only a question.
My remote (of my Asus TV tuner) work as a keyboard on my pc (no lirc installed), but the "back" button doesn't work, so I have to use my mouse.
Any idea, to how to solve this problem?

Thank you and sorry for my English Smile

Hi,

You should be able to do this in two main steps:

1. Find out what your remote's "back" button is sending.

2. Map that to the backspace key (or something else and put that in Keymap.xml)

The way I did step 1 was to use xkeycaps (ore you can use xev but it's less friendly). I then used xmodmap to re-map the keys.

Let me know how you get on.
